My background is actually in journalism, which is where I got started in photography (well, photojournalism, technically). It still influences most of what I do. I like telling stories, almost always preferring the raw to the refined. Which is a good thing, because as a farmer’s wife, “refined” usually isn’t exactly an option in my day-to-day life!
